Harry Pilling began manufacturing Acdo detergent on his mothers kitchen table in Bolton back in 1919. The first Acdo product was a little block of detergent designed to be used alongside the usual soap.

The formula evolved combining the new detergent with the old style soap, offering the housewife a clever ready-made mixture of the two, in the form of powder.

Now with over 90 years experience, Acdo produces a range of laundry powders using a similar soap based formula. The Acdo range includes the original Miracle Soft and Gentle and the more recent Natural Harmonies.
